What We Are Looking For

The Digital Fairy is a full service creative marketing studio, we are creative and strategic partners for brands within the fashion, lifestyle and beauty industries connecting them to youth and digital culture. We have built up credibility with clients including Adidas, Nike, Topicals, Sephora, D&AD Bleach London. We operate as part of internet culture, and have become an authoritative voice on cultural analysis and trend forecasting over on TikTok and for publications such as Nylon, i-D and Vice. 

We are looking for a Creative Strategist to join us and help drive Fairy Futures our strategy and insights division, leading key and commercial work end-to-end. You will work across brand, campaign and digital strategies. Working in to our Strategy Director and alongside our Creative Lead, overseeing the development of the work to ensure the execution aligns with your concept. We are looking for a creative strategist who doesn’t just have a voyeuristic view of the world, and the key cultures and subcultures we engage and represent – they will be part of them.



 

Responsibilities

  • Blending strategy and conceptual thinking, reporting into our Strategy Director and working alongside our Creative Lead 
  • Understanding/interrogating the brief, you will make sure we have the necessary information, you will manage any internal briefing and client workshops. You will own the client objectives throughout the project
  • You will form a creative partnership with our Creative Lead to ideate, inspire and guide the wider team in executing work which performs to your strategy and aligns with your conceptual thinking
  • Managing and leading primary and secondary project research – you will use both quantitative and qualitative methods. From this, you will be able to generate actionable insights to create big ideas 
  • You will produce the big innovative concepts alongside our Creative Lead, and be able to see your theoretical thinking into 360 ideas and turn them into campaign moments, creative platforms and roll-out with multi-channel executions 
  • Working with the client to establish KPIs and metrics, you will be working with our digital marketing division Fairy Networks to track and report on the efficacy of the strategy and amplification
  • You will have ideas to react to cultural moments and moods, reporting on innovative topics which intersect youth and digital culture through our own-brand report series ‘Digi Digest’.
  • You will attend exhibitions etc that will be useful and relay your findings to the team. Regularly sharing any cultural and industry topics, articles or points of note which are relevant to our clients and work
  • Monitoring market and industry trends, as well as the emergence of new platforms, tools and technologies 
  • Be a spokesperson for the business for industry and press opportunities when necessary 

What We Are Looking For

  • You will have worked in a strategy position for 5+ years, experience either in a creative role that encompassed strategic thinking or vice versa, within an agency delivering digital-first work
  • Experience managing multiple clients and stakeholders across multiple work streams
  • You can really lead, inspire and motivate a team to work at the highest standard delivering sparkling results
  • A self-starter, someone with strong ambition for themselves and the company, you will always want to make an idea better
  • Comfortable and excited by working in a fast moving, female-first, agile and ambitious workplace
  • You have a really collaborative approach and a strong focus on communication
  • You’ll be collaborative and open to working in new and non-conventional ways
  • You will have a strong knowledge of wider marketing trends. You have a nuanced understanding of youth and digital culture and get how our clients can connect to trends and industry movements. You keep ahead of digital trends across platforms, as well as an understanding with what engages and performs
  • Being on top of commercial and decentralised social platforms and the future of digital
  • Not afraid to be forthcoming with feedback, opinions and ideas that have the potential to push the work further
  • Keeping ahead of creative innovation and industry/cultural shifts to future-proof ideas and outputs
